Sometimes it’s good to get away for a day.

I usually only get a day or two off at any time, so I like to find a camping ground within about a 3 hour drive. I’ll teach my wonderful Saturday students, then jump into the car and head off, hopefully arriving with enough time to pitch my little pop-up tent before it gets dark.

Then I can take a very long leisurely drive home, stopping to take lots of photos.

Here’s a day trip from 2019 down to Bendeela (near Kangaroo Valley), then into Kangaroo Valley for breakfast, across Berry Mountain to the Berry Markets, then to Kiama, and finally home. A really good 30 hours!

Hello!

My little pop-up tent in the freezing cold!

You alone are Yahweh. You created the highest heavens with all their stars, the earth and all that is on it... You give life to all of them, and the army of heaven worships you. (Nehemiah 9:6, the reading for the day).

Hello!

A breakfast pie! Awesome!

Considering the options (hint to self: remove beanie before taking photo - you like like a tired prison escapee!)

You must resist the temptation!

Too late! Yummy fudge!

Berry Markets.

Hot Chilli relish - Oh No! I must obtain a jar...
